What really sets El Sombrero Restaurant apart, though, is the food. The menu is packed with a variety of traditional Mexican favorites, each prepared with fresh ingredients and a generous serving of passion. Tacos, enchiladas, burritos, and tamales all make an appearance, but there’s one dish that stands out among the crowd-the sizzling fajitas. Served hot and fresh with your choice of beef, chicken, or shrimp, they come accompanied by all the right fixings: soft tortillas, guacamole, and a side of flavorful rice and beans. Each bite bursts with smoky goodness, a true reflection of the quality and care put into the cooking here.

On top of the traditional menu staples, El Sombrero Restaurant also offers a few special dishes that are harder to find elsewhere. Their menudo, a hearty and flavorful soup made with tripe, is a local favorite, often enjoyed as a weekend treat. It’s a comforting dish that warms you from the inside out, with a spicy broth and tender meat that makes it clear why this is such a popular choice.

Another reason people keep coming back is the restaurant's attention to detail. The salsa, for instance, is made in-house, giving it a perfect balance of heat and flavor. Whether you’re adding it to your tacos or enjoying it as a dip with fresh tortilla chips, it’s the kind of salsa that will have you reaching for more.

The restaurant is also known for its generous portion sizes. You’ll never leave hungry, and many guests take advantage of the fact that their leftovers can easily be enjoyed the next day. The owners and staff seem genuinely invested in providing a great experience, and that passion shines through in everything from the food to the service.

While the focus is definitely on the food, the drink menu at El Sombrero Restaurant also holds its own. Their margaritas are refreshing and flavorful, perfectly complementing any meal. If you’re not in the mood for alcohol, they also offer a variety of non-alcoholic beverages, including refreshing aguas frescas that are a great way to wash down your meal.

This place was recommended by my aunt. We stopped by for lunch. The place was nice and clean. Our waitress was nice and attentive. Prices were definitely reasonable. I had a plate with 2 enchiladas, 1 taco, and 1 chalupa. My aunt had enchiladas with carne guisada. When we first sat down, they brought us a small bowl of soup and chips with salsa. The soup had a good taste, and the salsa was warm and not really spicy. It wasn't all that busy when we went, so everything came out pretty fast. I definitely plan on coming back.

Very good place to eat. I got the Mexican plate and it was delicious. Came with two enchiladas, one crunchy taco, one chalupa and rice and beans. Our waitress was great as well. The price was very fair. I’ll come back if I’m in town again

One of the best Mexican restaurants to eat at. Plenty of food & our waitress was the best. More people need to tip them better since they make under $3.00 per hour. They have a family to support & deal with cranky customers.

Sombreros is one of my favorite places to eat. Really good lunch specials. Price and taste. Good customer service, too. Breakfast depends on what you order. It's been a hit or miss for me.

Service was fast and the enchiladas with Rice and beans were delicious! 1st time eating at this place and I wish I had gone sooner. The fresh squeezed lemonade delicious too. And the prices were fair. It was a little warm inside though but, I'll still go back .

Started out with a cup of oatmeal, choice of cinnamon and brown sugar,to top it off. I enjoyed the flour tortillas with the Mexican omelette. Service was great. My waitress was happy to speak up and repeat herself due to my hearing impediment.
